The ongoing Langtang North Amateur Football Association (LAFA) Cup has witnessed a clear separation between the strong contenders and those falling behind. In a decisive match, Reak Ward FC from Bwarat District mercilessly eliminated their neighbor, Warok Ward FC, sealing their provisional exit from the competition. The outcome of Warok Ward FC’s last match is now a mere formality.

 

Sargwak Binbol of Reak Ward FC broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute and added another goal in the 72nd minute, securing a comfortable victory that officially eliminated Warok Ward FC from the tournament. With this triumph, Reak Ward FC solidifies its spot in the quarterfinals.

 

In a later kickoff, Kuffen Pillars secured their spot in the last eight by defeating Gani United 3-1. Ajo Alex, Sunday Shaldong, and Pirfa Ventim scored in the 39th, 42nd, and 66th minutes, respectively, while Lucky Rindap got a consolation goal for Gani United in the 81st minute.

The highly anticipated grand finale of the competition is scheduled for December 3, 2023, at the Langtang Mini Stadium, and the tournament has lived up to expectations so far.
