Green Lock Football Club proudly unveils its sub-mark logo, an impactful and visually stunning emblem that encapsulates the team’s core values of excellence, security, strength, unity, and national pride both on and off the field.

 

During the grand reveal, Olufunsho Peters, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Abuja-based youth football club, emphasized that the sub-mark logo has always been an integral part of the club’s plan and journey. Peters explained, “It provides a comprehensive representation of what Green Lock FC stands for. Aesthetics play a significant role; it has a pleasing visual appeal, presenting Green Lock FC as more than just a typical football academy.”

 

“The emblem showcases a captivating fusion of white, green, and black, symbolizing our commitment to vitality, elegance, and the principles of fairness, integrity, and sportsmanship across the club’s activities. It mirrors our aspirations for continuous growth, improvement, and success,” he enthused.

 

Peters delved into the symbolism of the logo’s elements, highlighting the Lock at the center as a representation of security, tying back to the club’s name. The Eagle Head signifies the team’s ambition to ascend and become Africa’s premier platform for talent identification, development, and promotion. The Shield, housing the Lock and Eagle Head, underscores the club’s tenacity and fortitude embodied by its management, staff, and talents. The sparkling stars proudly represent the club’s national pride.

 

Describing the logo as a testament to the excellence Green Lock FC represents in Nigerian Football, Peters declared, “As we step into our first premier showcase, a groundbreaking event in Nigeria, it was the perfect time to unveil it, signaling to fans, spectators, scouts, coaches, and directors that we are a team ready to claim glory.”

 

Peters urged any player fortunate enough to wear the symbol on their chest to respect and uphold the responsibility it carries. He passionately emphasized that the logo positions Green Lock FC as the evolved pathway to the recruitment and promotion of Nigerian talent on the global stage, stating, “The logo is a reminder to fans that they have a team showcasing the greatness of Nigeria and Africa, with no need to fear because Green Lock FC is here.”
