The leadership of the Plateau State Football Association, PFA, has paid a courtesy visit to the state Director of Sports, Professor Ezra Gunen.
Leading the delegation to the office of the director of sports yesterday, the chairman of the Plateau State Football Association, Honourable Suleiman Yahaya Kwande, stated, “We are here to let the director know that all the activities of the PFA will be communicated to his office.”
“The purpose of the courtesy call is to brief you about activities of the FA, and also make known to you some of our highlighted future programmes,” Kwande added.
“This is the first courtesy call we are making after the FA election, due to some situation beyond our control we couldn’t make it earlier. Apologies for coming late, sir.”
“As we are aware the Governor’s Cup has kicked off, we are going to have a meeting with you to see where to play our final. We have also changed our logo of the FA; the stars represent the local government, the ball represents football, and the rock represents Plateau State.”
“We are going to launch the logo soon. Also, we are going for a tour around the seventeen local government areas. Finally, we are going to visit Abuja to see our senators and House of Representatives members to see how they can contribute to football development on the Plateau.”
Reacting, the director of Sports Plateau State, Professor Ezra Gunen, appreciated the FA members for the visit and promised to work with them to achieve similar goals on the Plateau.
The PFA chairman and his board members also visited Mighty Jets International, where he encouraged the team to put in hard work and take each match very seriously as they fight to gain promotion to the elite league of club football.
Kwande assured, “I’ll support the team anytime called upon. My doors are open for any assistance.”
