The Green Lock FC Summer Football Tournament is set to take place from July 19th to 23rd at the Remo Stars FC Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State. This event will attract FIFA-recognized club officials and agents from Europe and the Middle East, who will be scouting for outstanding talent.
During the virtual meeting, Olufunsho Peters, the Executive Vice Chairman of Green Lock FC, emphasized the club’s commitment to revolutionizing football recruitment in Nigeria through the use of technology and data. Peters explained that this tournament is a testament to their dedication to transforming the recruitment landscape.
According to Peters, the teams invited to participate in the tournament have been carefully selected based on specific criteria. These include an age requirement of 16–19 years, a strong track record in their respective leagues, and high-quality management. The briefing also featured the Chief Operating Officer of Nationwide League One (NLO), Mr. Olusola Ogunnowo.
