Teams shine through rain at North-Central Zonal elimination, as Plateau qualifies for basketball and hockey

The second day of the North-Central Zonal elimination for the National Youth Games was exciting, with teams determined to seize every chance to excel. Despite ongoing rainfall, the matches proceeded, although some were postponed to the following day.

 

In football, Plateau needs just a draw in their next match against Niger to secure a spot.

 

Plateau and Benue have both qualified for the basketball finals, although Plateau’s male team has been eliminated.

 

While the male team was eliminated in hockey, the female team advanced as only two teams registered.

 

The journey has ended for the female beach volleyball team.

 

Handball qualifications remain in the air and will be determined after tomorrow’s matches.
