The 100km Cycling Race concluded in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with Team Plateau sweeping all medals in both the male and female categories.
The one-day event, organized by the Benue State Government, featured participants from three states. However, Team Plateau outclassed the competition, securing all podium spots.
In the male category, Berry Monday clinched first place, followed by John Emmanuel in second and Hosea Danjuma in third. The female category was equally dominated by Plateau cyclists, with Rechal Davou emerging as the winner, Rejoice Danjuma finishing second, and Juliana Annas taking third place.
The competition was exclusively for cyclists who had never participated in the National Sports Festival. This dominant performance highlights the depth of talent in Plateau Cycling as preparations intensify for the National Sports Festival, set to take place in Ogun State in May 2025.
