The Torch of Unity for the 22nd National Sports Festival, themed “OGUN 2025,” will make its arrival in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, April 4th, 2025.
This marks the next phase of its journey, following the flag-off by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Abuja on March 25th, 2025.
At 10:00 AM, a representative from the National Sports Commission (NSC) will hand over the Torch to Plateau State’s Governor, His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, at the Government House in Rayfield.
The Torch serves as a powerful symbol of unity and solidarity in anticipation of the National Sports Festival, set to take place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from May 16th to 30th, 2025.
The event will be attended by key officials from the National Sports Commission, Plateau State Ministry for Youth and Sports Development, Plateau State Sports Council, government representatives, and sports stakeholders, alongside the general public.
