Team Plateau’s dominance in golf at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Ogun State was further cemented by a stellar performance from Tina Micah, who proved her mettle with a pair of hard-earned medals.
After a competitive round in the ladies’ professional match play, Tina secured a bronze medal, showcasing determination and finesse under pressure. Not resting on her laurels, she returned to the course the following day with renewed focus and delivered a masterclass in the stroke play event, clinching the gold medal in the ladies’ professional category.
Reflecting on her achievement, Tina said, “The game was challenging, but I thank God I was able to push through. Winning bronze in the match play and then gold in the stroke play means a lot to me.”

Proudly representing Plateau State, she expressed her deep sense of loyalty and gratitude: “It’s an honor to represent my home. I had my state in mind with every swing, and I gave it my all to bring these medals home.”
Tina also acknowledged the support behind her success, extending heartfelt thanks to the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang: “Even with the challenges we’re facing back home, the governor still ensured we were sponsored and supported. I’m truly grateful.”
Her double-medal triumph is a testament not just to personal excellence, but to the enduring spirit of Plateau State in national sports.
