Mohammed Yusuf has been appointed Vice Chairman of the MOC, a move expected to boost administrative coordination and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
Returning as Secretary is Abdullahi Isah Awak, whose institutional knowledge and proven track record have been vital to the tournament’s growth over the years.
In a bid to infuse fresh ideas, the Balanga Local Government Sports Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim Magaji joins the MOC for the first time, signaling a renewed push for grassroots involvement.
Also named to the committee are local government representatives:
- Adamu Muazu (Raul) from Shongom,

Their roles will be pivotal in ensuring smooth coordination and mobilization across their respective LGAs.

Media and communications will be steered by Mark Malele, who steps in as Director of Communications. With a strong background in media strategy and public engagement, Malele is expected to significantly boost the tournament’s visibility across both traditional and digital platforms.
Rounding off the team is Haruna Isah Kalshingi, appointed as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the MOC Chairman. Kalshingi will play a critical advisory and coordination role to support seamless implementation of the tournament’s agenda.
Tournament activities will kick off in August with a Capacity Building Seminar for committee members, followed by a Press Conference to formally launch team registration.
